The left-back also remarked that the Reds could have been trailing at the break as the Waterside men had caused them a lot of problems particularly in the first half.

“It doesn’t matter how you win matches, we came to Drumahoe for three points and thankfully we got them,” said Seydak.

“We knew it was going to be a hard game and it proved just that.

“To be fair to Stute they knocked it around brilliantly in the first half, we knew that was going to be the way they were going to play.

“If I’m being honest we struggled to deal with it.

“I also think scoring very, very early on didn’t help us, I think we maybe took our foot off the gas a wee bit and Stute capitalised on that.

“To be honest they probably could have went in ahead at half-time.

“However in the second half I think we dominated and it was just great to get a 90th minute winner.”

Match winner Garrett not for the first time in his career with the Belfast men came off the bench to become their hero.

“That is the thing about Stevie he has great pace and whenever games are stretched, he can be a great impact player,” he added.

“Because Stute play three at the back it meant we had a few holes for him to run into the channels and I think we exploited that and if I’m being hypercritical I think we could have had a couple more, but I’ll take the three points.”

Tommy Breslin’s side are still unbeaten two points behind leaders Ballymena United and Seydak is happy with how they are shaping up.

“It will be the same old mantra of taking one game at a time, we have do it for the last two years.

“We just take each game as it comes and we have Glenavon at home this Saturday, that’s going to be a really tough one.

“They have invested in a lot of players and we’ll just train all week, approach that game the same way we approach any and hopefully we can get the three points again.”
