The home side took the lead on 11 minutes thanks to a sublime chip by striker Darren McFadden, however minutes before the break Joe Breslin should have levelled things but he dragged his shot wide when one-on-one with Stute goalkeeper Corey Wilson, while right on the stroke of half-time McFadden had a super chance to grab a second, but he headed wide when well placed inside the six yard box.

Institute missed a golden chance to increase their lead 51 minutes when Jude Ballard’s spot-kick was saved by Shane McGonigle, but minutes later Ballard made up for the miss as the fired home.
