Super Saturday planned

LURGAN Celtic are holding a series of events on Saturday, September 29 before and after their Championship 2 match against Chimney Corner.

First up is a penalty kick competition starting at 12 o’clock with 50 people each taking 10 penalties culminating in the person converting the most from their 10 being crowned Lurgan Celtic Penalty King 2012 and winning £50. Entry fee is £5 and anyone wishing to take part can contact the clubs text line on 07938546899 or event co ordinater Desssie Magennis on 07765205100.

For a further opportunity to win £100 there is a competition to guess the correct number of penalties converted out of the 500 taken on the day. Each guess costs £1 and the winner on the day will be the person who correctly guesses or is nearest to the total as recorded by the adjudicators on the day.

Kick-off for the match is 3pm and refreshments will be served before, during and after the game.

In the evening the activity moves to The Stables Bar and Restaurant where a Gourmet night takes place. Award winning chef Liam McEvoy will be presenting a 5 course banquet of various worldwide dishes. Music will be provided during and after the meal by Marty Thompson and tickets are £30 each and can be purchased of any committee member or from the Stables Bar.
