U10s beaten by league leaders

THIS was going to be a difficult game for Dromore with Larne flying high in the George Best league.

From the kick off Dromore pressed forward and played some good football.

You could see from the early stages of the game see why Larne are where they are in the league. It proved a tough first half with the defenders of Alan, James, Nathan and Morgan working well keeping their shape and dealing with high balls over the back.

Josh again was busy in goal making very good saves. He was beaten, however with a strong shot from outside the box by Larne which flew into the top of the net.

The second half was more of the same with Josh showing why he is a class goal keeper; he has grown confidently into his role.

The defenders continue to work hard. Sara Greenfield and Alexander Mitchell came on, for their first outing for Dromore.

This was a hard game on a boggy pitch in Belfast but the managers were really please with the way the team played again. The second and final goal came towards the end of the game with a ball over the top and a good shot.

Josh Jennings won the George Best Man of the Match award.
