United under-17s set up semi-final clash

BALLYMENA United earned a cup semi-final meeting with Cliftonville after an impressive 3-1 win over Glentoran on Saturday.

The match kicked-off with Ballymena in total control, and after about 15 minutes Murphy got on the end of a great move which must have included every Ballymena player on the pitch.

Ballymena continued to play in this manner, and after a sequence of corners, Henry added number two; soon after Johnston added a third before half-time.

Although Glentoran pulled a goal back in the second half, but Ballymena ran out comfortable winners, with their performance drawing praise from the Glentoran coaches.
