Ballymena United boss Glenn Ferguson admitted that Tony Kane’s red card was a ‘game-changer’ in Ballymena United’s 2-1 weekend defeat by Linfield.

The Sky Blues had led 1-0 against the league leaders but conceded twice in quick succession after Kane was sent off early in the second half.

The defeat brought to an end a run of 10 games unbeaten for United, who must re-group for Tuesday night’s Irish Cup replay at home to Harland & Wolff Welders.
