Wee Oliver ‘signs’ for the Candystripes
Derry City have unveiled their latest new signing - Oliver Dickey.
The five-year-old was the special guest of the Candystripes during their pre-season training at the Vale Centre on Thursday. Oliver, who was accompanied by his mum Charlene and dad Neil, was presented with a signed City shirt and his very own number 5 Derry jersey.
Meanwhile, wee Oliver’s fundraising appeal reached a significant milestone this week as it passed the £30,000 mark. You can donate at www.justgiving.com/helpweeoliverwalk or or text HWOW60, followed by the amount to 70070.
The family are trying to raise £60,000 to send Oliver to Amercia for surgery to help him to walk.
