Kee was especially pleased by defender Matthew Young’s performance.

In fact the Stute gaffer likened the Cookstown lad to Germany and Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm.

Kee knew straight away that he had found a new player the minute he worked with Young at the college course he was running in Omagh.

“I was quite pleased with Matty Young, he’s a player who we rate highly,” he admitted.

“He just lacks maybe a wee bit physically but football wise he’s excellent, he’s a modern day full-back like Philipp Lahm.

“We wanted to give him an opportunity, because Stephen Curry has a hip flexor and while we could have brought him on we didn’t want to push it.

“But Matty did well, as did (Jamie) McIntyre, Jude Ballard’s only 20 and he too did well.”
