Cairndhu Ladies edged out by Edenmore

Cairndhu Golf Club’s Ladies’ Intermediate Cup lost out to Edenmore Golf Club in the final at Rockmount Golf Club this week.

It proved to be a very hard-fought contest with the matches of Gail McCluggage, Sinead Robinson and Sandra Conlon going all the way to the 18th Green.

However, the results on the 18th didn’t go the way of Cairndhu with Conlon securing a half-point and the other two matches going the way of Edenmore.

In the remaining matches Lady Captain Lyn Morrow had an excellent 5/3 win, with Lesley Gausden defeated 2/1.

Reaching their first final has been a tremendous achievement for the team who recorded impressive wins over Carnalea, Rossmore, Castlerock and Malone along the way.
