GOLF: John Daly signs up for Irish Open at Portrush
TWO times major champion John Daly has added his name to the mix at next month’s Irish Open at Royal Portrush.
The 46-year-old has accepted a sponsor’s invite to join locals Graeme McDowell, Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy.
It will be Daly’s fifth visit to the Irish Open.
He finished runner-up to Bernhard Langer at Mount Juliet on his first appearance in 1994 and missed the cut at Baltray on his most recent in 2009.
