Ladies through to face Masserene inAll-Ireland final

Three hole in ones ina week

From the very first tee shots Lurgan always looked the superior team and they maintained their high level of performance from start to finish.

Cara Murphy was first out and was never behind and put the first point on the board winning 5/4.

Fiona McGrady had the chance for reeking some revenge as she had a rematch with a lady who beat her by one hole last year and she relished the opportunity and won her match convincingly 3/2 to leave Lurgan needing only one more match to take the tie.

Christine Hagan had a tighter match and while she was two up early on her partner clawed back the holes to go to one up but Christine held her nerve and was two up playing 17 when called in.

Sian Mulholland was next up and just as the word came through that Lynne Hanna had won the deciding point when she won her match 5/4 Sian coolly slotted in a putt on 16 to win 3/2.

A very strong performance from the Lurgan team and they will now take on Malone at Massereene in the final on Sunday 23rd August.
