Lurgan girl shines at open in Dunmurry

The winner was Catherine Jinks (Lurgan) who came in with 40 points. Diane Patterson (Rockmount) was second with 39 points and Liz Johnston (Dunmurry) was third, also with 39 points. The best gross went to K Shaw (Tandragee) with 29 points. Congratulations to Veronica McCormick (Spa) who had a Hole in One on the seventh.

Ladies team open

The Ladies Open Teams Competition was played on Thursday 31st July. There were 26 teams, consisting of 31 Dunmurry ladies and 47 visitors.

The winning team who came in with 83 points contained one home golfer, Ann McCullough and her two visitors Carol Caldwell (Shandon) and Susan McFall (Malone) winning by a single point.

Second place with 82 points was Hilary Brady (Dunmurry), Anne Stewart and Violet McBride (Belvoir Park).
