Mixed foursomes semi-finalists are now known

The Mixed Foursomes Matchplay competition has reached the semi-final stage.

The results of the quarterfinals were as follows:

Rory Madeley and Megan Whan beat Kenny and Diana Whan 3 and 2.

William and Robina McCandless beat Seamus and Jacinta Rooney 3 and 2.

Declan and Mary Dooher beat John McDowell and Denise Nelson 1 up.

Cathal O’Neill and Teresa McConville beat Richard and Mildred Hodgett 5 and 4.

So the line-up for the semi-finals looks like this:

Rory Madeley and Megan Whan will play William and Robina McCandless.

Declan and Mary Dooher will play Cathal O’Neill and Teresa McConville.

There is still the possibility that the two club captains could meet in the final.

Wouldn’t that be something?
