Open success for Garfield and Elaine

GARFIELD and Elaine Bell were the winners of the Gerry O’Neill Trophy for the open mixed foursomes at Lurgan on Sunday with 41 points.

Runners-up were Sean McClean and Kathy Matchett, 40 points, on a better back nine from John and Margaret O’Neill and Susan McMorrow and Wilson Collins.

Third were John and Margaret O’Neill, 40 points, on a better back nine from Susan McMorrow and Wilson Collins.

Best gross was won by Michael McSherry and Zoe Allen with 34 points.

Twos - Susan McMorrow and Wilson Collins, Martin Drain and Annette Kilbinger.

In the juvenile competition last week the overall winner was Latifif Ryan with 44 points.

Division winner was Aodhan Scullion, 42 points, and the girls winner was Cara Murphy, 37 points.
