Prize night held tomorrow evening at Foyle Golf Club

Foyle Golf Club will hold a Prize Presentation tomorrow (Thursday) night at 8pm for the following competitions and all prize winners are asked to attend or send a deputy.

Spring League winners - Hugh Doherty, Eddie McDermott, Gary McElroy, Gary Jackson, Mark Doherty, Ciaran O’Doherty, Dermott Harkin, Michael Henry, Kieran Bradley, Joe Bradley, Richard McRory, Steve Moore, David Wilson, Brendan Gallagher, Robert Ewing and William McGowan.

Spring Trophy winners Derek Browne, Martin Tope, Cathal McNicholl, Shaun Mooney, Eamon O’Hagan and Ruari Moore.

A B Motors NI Open winners Mark McIntyre, Stephen Doherty, Michael Gallagher, Cormac McGeady and Kevin O’Kane.

Club Classic winners Sean McEleney, Martin McEleney, Paul McEleney, Martin McCallion, David Wilson, William McGowan, Brendan Gallagher, David Hudson, Gerald Harkin, Ronnie Kennedy, Vinny Brady and James McCauley.

Today (Wednesday) sees the Crumley Construction Monthly Medal, along with a 9 Hole Summer Competition take centre stage and the 9 hole competition gets underway from 6.30pm.

There is a Open down for decision on Friday, while an Open stableford competition will be played for on Saturday.

While last Wednesday’s A.B. Motors N.I. Ltd sponsored Open Stableford was played in torrential rain for the most part, making for very difficult scoring conditions and the golfers who ventured out in such conditions have to be commended.

Late starter Mark McIntyre made full use of the slightly better conditions to post a very credible winning score of 35 points, three points clear of the chasing pack.

Second and third places were decided after a 32 points break of tie in favor of Stephen Doherty leaving Michael Gallagher in third.
