Graham grabs top prize and David’s win is the Cherry on the cake

This winning score by Graham Shannon on Sunday 5th April is one of the best Sunday Sweep scores ever.

Graham played the nine holes in only one over par gross and that gave him an incredible nett 26.5.

That equalled Kieran McGreevey’s score back in April 2012.

Gareth Moody set the record score for the Sunday Sweep, a nett 26 on the 10th April 2011.

Graham should be delighted with his performance. Methinks he won’t be playing off a 21 handicap for much longer.

It was also a rewarding day for Mel Hamill, who had the only two of the day.

1st- Graham Shannon (21) Nett 26.5.

2nd- John Poots (16) Nett 31.

3rd- Gavin Greer (19) Nett 32.5.

THURSDAY 9TH APRIL

David Cherry played the 14 holes in the Thursday Sweep in only one over par gross.

That was outstanding golf from David, playing off a 12 handicap, and he won the competition by four clear points.
