HOCKEY: Mossley Ladies continue march towards title

Table-topping Mossley Ladies continued their march towards the Ulster Hockey Senior 2 title, thanks to a 4-1 weekend win over Owls.

Sophie McDowell was the star of the show for Mossley, scoring all four goals in the Friday night match at The Glade.

Mossley sit eight points clear of second-placed Dromore Ladies, having won 10 of their 11 outings this season. Their only defeat so far in the campaign came at home to Omagh Ladies in September.

This Saturday (January 16) they are in knockout action away to Junior 1 outfit Lisnagarvey II in the first round of the Qualifying Plate.
