HOCKEY: Mossley Ladies II secure third successive promotion

Mossley Ladies II secured promotion for the third season on the spin thanks to a 4-1 victory over Omagh II at Jordanstown.

The right to play Junior 3 hockey was cemented by captain Zoë Tisdale’s double and further strikes from Kerrie Bell and Louise Creighton.

The Glade girls took the lead in the first few minutes with a close range shot from Tisdale. It wasn’t long before they had the ball in the net again, this time Kerrie Bell fired home from a well-worked penalty corner.

Just before half-time Louise Creighton made it three with a superb reverse shot from the edge of the circle.

In the second half it was Mossley again who continued to press and another chance fell to Tisdale who put it away to make it 4-0.

Shortly before the final whistle Omagh grabbed themselves a late consolation goal with a deflected shot.
