Inaugural ‘Linda’s Tournament’ proves a big success

Local bowlers recently took part in the inaugural ‘Linda’s Tournament’, held in St Patrick’s Parish Church, Ballymena.

The event attracted 264 entries and was won by Andrew Morrison of First Ahoghill.

The organisers have thanked all the sponsors including: Clady Tile Centre; Spar, Rosses Court; Curtis Cars, Pennybridge; Breslin & McCormick solicitors; Jimmy Stock Fuels; Gerald Kennedy, Dunloy; Thomas McAlonan; Bridge Gragae; Harry McCloy; Maine Tyres, Cullybackey; J&A Anderson Feed Merchants; Robin Rainey & Sons; David Bellingham; and WJ and Annie McAlonan.

More than £2,000 was raised, with the money being split between Marie Curie nurses and Hospice nurses.
