Kids mini marathon to take place this evening at the Daisy Field

Registration which is free, is from 6pm with the 1K Run starting at 7pm on the cycle track adjacent to the Daisy Field pitches.

Runners aged from 9 to 17 years can qualify for the June 1st Mini Marathon, which will finish in the Guildhall Square just before the first of the Marathon runners appear in the Finish funnel.

Make sure your child is part of this amazing experience by getting them to the Long Tower Centre in the Brandywell this evening.

Meanwhile Jason Smyth made a significant return to competitive sprint recently on the Clermont, Florida track in the prestigious Pure Athletics Invitational Meeting, clocking an impressive 10.40s 100 metres.
