Lisburn girls lead Ulster to Interpro victory

Three Lisburn schoolgirls helped Ulster U18s to the Interprovincial title at Lisnagarvey last weekend.

Wallace students Zoe Jackson and Jane Kilpatrick joined Friends pupil Rosie Henderson in a team that claimed four wins from four.

Ulster skipper Zoe was on target twice during her side’s 4-1 victory over Munster on Saturday while Jane found the net in an emphatic 7-0 win over South East and also in the title-clinching 2-0 win over Leinster on Sunday. The girls had begun the weekend in equally impressive fashion, beating Connacht 2-0.

Meanwhile, FSL girls Rachel Barnes and Amy Brown teamed up with Garvey’s Beth Walker for Ulster U16s who battled hard to secure wins over South East and Connacht to finish third behind Munster and Leinster.
