Little between sidesin crucial league clash

There should be very little to separate Armagh and Fermanagh when Pete McGrath’s side visit the Athletic Grounds on Saturday night for a crucial league encounter (7.00pm).

Last Sunday the Erne side finished strongly to beat Tipp by a four points margin, and in Armagh’s opening game of the season despite being out played Kieran McGeeney’s team squeezed over the line by the narrowest of margins against the Munster men.

While it was almost inevitable that Fermanagh would show good early season form under their new manager, they will travel to Armagh in determined mood and keen to reach the Division 3 league decider later in the spring.

Fermanagh will be the fittest and most mobile side Armagh have met so far this season, McGrath’s charges are keen to make their mark in Ulster this season and are currently unbeaten in three league games to date.

Erne full forward Sean Quigley will be a handful for the Armagh defence, he is deadly from frees and is also dangerous in front of goal.

Fermanagh’s tackling and work rate have been the highlights of their current campaign, they will come to the Athletic Grounds to swarm Armagh in numbers and have the pace up front to isolate any lack of pace in the Armagh rear guard.
