Local companies join together for Setanta Sports TV deal

NI Live Vision has joined with Renegade Strongman to produce a 48 minute TV show covering the European Strongman Under 90kg 2012 Grand Final.

The event which will take place on September 14th and 15th in Letterkenny is Europe’s Strongest Man 2012 90kg - the first ever gathering of 90kg European champions.

A spokesperson from NI Live Vision said: “Having watched an example of the show at this years Waterways Ireland Riverfest we were keen to get involved with Dave Warner and his company Renegade Strongman. The 90kg event will be a new experience for us as a camera crew.

“We will be filming eight events over two days and have been working with Dave to arrange the best possible way we can capture the event. Our final product will be along the lines of the worlds strongest man show which airs on television around the Christmas period. Setanta sports have asked us to supply them with a 48 minute show which will be split into four 12 minute sections.

“This will be our second show that will hopefully be shown on setanta sports. Previously we had produced an hour long show for MMA brand Cage Contender which was shown on Setanta Sports and is now repeated in 70 countries around the world. We will have a crew heading to Letterkenny where the event will take part and we will only have a few weeks to complete post production before a hopeful broadcast date around the start of October.

“As a company we are very much looking forward to this event and working with Dave and his Renegade Strongman crew.”

Dave Warner said: “On my first meeting with NI Vision it was clear that we shared the same enthusiasm for this event and can’t wait to see the finished show - it’s going to be amazing!”

The event which will take place at the Clanree Hotel and Bernard McGlinchey Town Park in Letterkenny is open to all to watch. So if you enjoyed the qualifying event at the Waterways Ireland Riverfest, in Coleraine, come along to Letterkenny to see the very best in European 90kg Strongman.
