Lurgan players out to net success with Co Armagh

Four players from Lurgan will make up the eight strong Co Armagh Tennis team taking part in the Inter-County Championships at Bangor on Saturday.

They include Peter Lappin, Jonathan Coalter, Nathan McHaffey and Lisa Goodman.

“This is the first time for many years we have a strong input from Lurgan and it is great to see,” says non-playing captain Lyn Jamison.

“Last year we came to within a point of getting into the top flight, Zone 1, so we are hoping to achieve it this time around.”

The team will play five games with Jonathan and Nathan playing in the men’s doubles and Peter teaming up with Lisa in the mixed doubles.
