Magherafelt Harriers: Alvin leads the way at Omagh 10k

There was strong running from Alvin Taylor on Saturday at the annual 10K organised by Christian Boys Grammar School, Omagh. Alvin, seen right in another race, finished in a great time of 41.06 and was first in his age category.

Nearly 200 runners competed in the race which had a fairly difficult course with windy conditions.

Club annual fees are due as of the start of February. Anyone who still has to hand in money for the fees can give the money to any of the club’s committee members.

Magherafelt Harriers wish to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we are unavailable to host our club race scheduled for March 12th.

It is with regret that we have no option but to cancel the proposed 10k race. The club will organise a quality road race later in the year.

Club training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30pm from the rugby club and 8:30am on a Sunday.

Ladies training is on Monday at 6pm and Wednesday at 7pm, both also from the rugby club.
