Mary Longmore was the winner of The Whan Family Trophy at Banbridge GC on Tuesday June 14 with a score of 39 points. She saw off competition from 52 other ladies, but Fionnuala Crossey pushed all the way, coming in as runner up just a point behind on 38. The Section A (0-22) winner was Mildred Hodgett with 34 points beating Karen Curran on countback. The Section B (23-29) winner was Suzanne Murfitt with 34 points beating Mary Dooher and Kathryn Sawyers on countback.
