The First Ahoghill bowler won the Moneyglass singles tournament at the weekend, beating Drumbar’s Joe Beattie 10-9 in a thrilling final.

Morrison looked to be cantering to victory as he raced into an 8-2 lead after four ends of the 12-end final.

But Beattie gradually chipped away at the deficit and took the lead for the first time in the 10th end.

Morrison levelled in the penultimate end and then won the final end to win by a shot in a match which drew loud applause from the audience for the finalists’ efforts.
