One of the first was from Ryan Farquhar, who will take part in three races. The Moto450, the Supertwin and the Superbike. After spending much of his career on Kawasakis, he is entered on an R1 in the big bike race. It will be interesting to see how he does on that.

Also entered is Italian Dario Cecconi and the Czech Republic duo of Veronika Hankcyova and Michael Dokoupil. As time goes on more entrants will be announced.

At an MCUI tarmac committee meeting last week it was decided that the Mid Antrim can run two rounds of the Irish Supersport championship, with one race on Friday night and another on Saturday. The club have decided that the Ballyprint backed race will be on the Friday.

The Pub Quiz and raffle, which is to be held in the Thatch Inn, Broughshane on Friday 27th January will be only £3 to enter. There will be no buffet at it however. The Thatch Inn will sponsor the prizes. Up to a maximum of half a dozen they will give each member of the winning team a bottle of wine.

The popular Miss Mid Antrim competition is also going ahead this year. Having been Miss Mid Antrim 150 for a couple of years now, Galgorms Zoe McKinnon, who was always a credit to the club and great fun to work with, must relinquish her title.

Any young ladies who would like to enter the competition should do so by looking at the JFM Haulage Mid Antrim 150 Facebook page, or by inboxing Davy McCartney, Jack Agnew or Allanah Jackson. This will be held in the Michelin Sports club on the 27th February. There will be a disco afterwards, where the DJ will be racer Davy Black.

The club have taken stands at both the Blackhorse Motorcycle Festival, from February 5-7 and following a hook up with show organiser, Davy Louden, Ballymoney Motorcycle show, which runs on March 4-5in the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre.

They will have membership forms and entry forms for the meeting at both shows, but the rule of thumb is get your entry in as early as possible.
