Graham has strengthened his side with a number of new faces added to the squad and he said he is pleased with how they have performed in pre-season.

“Full back Rodger McBurney is a strong signing, great to have him coming back as full back, he adds real quality. John Creighton is training very well and can play scrum half or out half.

“Chrissy Alan was playing at Randalstown and wanted to return to Senior rugby, he will bring a lot of experience to the squad and Michael Shields from Rainey Old Boys will add a lot of attributes.

“We have added others that we are really pleased with this gives us strength in depth but you never know what injury problems you are going face throughout the season.”

“It’s not all about the new boys, you’ve got to look at the players who have got us to where we are now. They are raring to go, they are a young squad and very ambitious and getting them up the new season certainly isn’t
a battle.”
