Participants will need (preferably) a road bike in good working order, weather appropriate clothing, a drink and some food eg a banana or an energy bar. Helmets are compulsory.

The runs will be guided by experienced club members, and will be taken at a reasonable pace and no-one will be left behind.

Club chairman Mark Moroney is excited that new members and cycling enthusiasts will be joining them,

“Many of our members have started out in our beginners programme,” he said.

“Cycling is becoming very popular and with the Giro D’Italia coming to Northern Ireland very soon.

“This is as good a time as any to take up this wonderful sport, in the company of friends, for some good exercise, lively chat and of course the coffee stop at the end of the run. We look forward to welcoming many newcomers on April 12th.”
