Riada presented with League trophy

Coleraine Premier League

Riada FC 0 – 2 Upperlands

RIADA FC played out their last fixture of their successful season against Upperlands.

A defeat did nothing to dampen the spirits as the League Cup was presented to the home side before the game.

Riada never really started in the game, and it was no time before they had given away a penalty and were one nil down, Workman with the goal.

Danny McMullan had an effort cleared off the line in what was a scrappy game throughout. Neither side created any clear cut opportunities in the first half. Bryan Moore made a good double save for the home side and Declan Hassan had an effort that just went over the bar at the other end.

The second half continued the same way in what was a meaningless fixture, and that showed through in the football on display. Dale Armstrong hit the bar for Riada and Workman blazed over for Upperlands.

Scott was brought down inside the area for another penalty which he took himself and missed.

McDowell deflected a long range effort into his own goal in the dying minutes to make it two nil.
