Roadside Motors sponsors the Ulster Senior Championships

Having lost out to former international partnership Graham Henderson and Eugene McKenna for the Irish Senior title last month, Michael Watt and Michael Turkington have an opportunity to gain revenge when the National Badminton Centre hosts this season’s Ulster Seniors Championships this weekend.

With local Peugeot Dealer Roadside Motors on board in a new sponsorship deal this men’s doubles clash will be only one of the eagerly awaited clashes with six categories from 40+ to 65+ providing an excellent opportunity for players to continue their participation and enjoyment in the sport.

Watt will be keen to lift the mens singles title having won in the Irish Championships in the 40+ age group.

Based on the recent Irish Finals other Ulster players to watch will be Stephen Waddell in the mens singles 55 plus and David Kenny in the mens singles 65 plus. In the doubles events Tony Clarke and David Kenny wiil be favourites in the mens 65 plus with Karen Ballintine and Dorothy Mc Cullough top seeds in the womens 40 plus. In the mixed, pairs to watch will be Micheal Turkington and Valerie Martin at 40 plus, Graham Henderson and Doreen Mc Clements at 50 plus and Janet Ferguson and David Kenny at 65 plus.
