Sarsfields lose play-off

SARSFIELDS have missed out on a top eight place in the Armagh All County League.

The Trasna men lost out last Sunday in a play-off against Granemore who now meet Dromintee with the winners joining seven other clubs in the division one cup competition,

Whilst viewpoints are wide and varied from within the High Moss club as to whether or not their league standing, which has placed them in the bottom half, is a good or a bad thing, Sarsfields can now look forward to challenging for the shield competition considering they have no relegation worries,

They will have games against Clan na Gael, Wolfe Tones, and Clann Eireann in the second half of the season but like other clubs they would be dissapointed about the lack of recent league games.

The Trasna club have been handed a tough senior championship game the weekend after next against against Carrickcruppin.
