Seniors bounce back from loss to see off Lurgan

Dromore seniors lost their league game at home on Tuesday evening at home to Banbridge, getting one point.

Robert Greer was the skip of the only winning Dromore rink.

In their home League game against Lurgan the juniors got back to winning ways with 36 shot win, taking full points.

Rink 1: N Lindsay, G McDowell, H Maxwell, R Malcomson.

This rink scored well in the opening half of the game to be ahead by 12. They still had the edge at three quarter stage to be 13 to the good, finishing with a 12 shot victory.

Rink 2: A Johnston, T Sudlow, A Matthews, T Wilson.

This was another rink that settled down quickly to be ahead by 14 at the halfway stage.

They then let the victors take over the next quarter, cutting their lead to seven and had to hold on in the final six ends to win by four.

Rink 3: K Poots, R Bolton, R Greer, A Sudlow.

This rink was scoring well in the first half to lead by seven.

But then they lost a six on end 14 to put them in trouble and leave them only leading by a singl.

They fininsed off by having a good six ends to finish five to the good.

Rink 4: J Black, S Harrison, D Graham, S Malcomson.

It was yet another good day for this rink who were 10 to the good at the halfway stage.

In the next five ends Lurgan closed the gap to six shots, and Sammy put the pressure on in the final six ends to ensure that Dromore ran out as winners by 15 shots.
