Social Staffers continue to be surprise package in darts league

The Ballymena, Harryville and District Darts League, sponsored by Mid Antrim Blinds, has a surprise team this season in the second division.

Social Staffers, now in their second season, made it three wins from three games to sit 2nd in the table with a game in hand on league leaders, Slemish Tavern.

The best individual performances in Friday night’s matches were 15-dart legs from Brian Cathcart and Alan Bamford, followed by: 16 Daniel McDonald, 17 Davy Martin, 18s John Elder (Drifters), Ryan Gault, 19s Chris Peacock, Colin Reid, John Elder (Drifters), Ryan Gault, Jeff Watt, 20s Lee Fleming, Geoff Wylie, Tam Jamieson, Ian Millar, 21s Brian Cathcart, Davy Martin, Ashley Rainey, Ian Reynolds, Roy Gilchrist.

Ian Rainey (The Diamond) had the week’s best finish with a 115 checkout, followed by: 110 Brian Cathcart (Drifters), 107 Ryan Gault (The Diamond), 99 Alan Bamford (Drifters).

Brian Cathcart, Alan Bamford, Darnell McCrory, Tam Jamieson and Derek Campbell all hit 180s.

The Simpson Pairs takes centre stage this Friday night.

THe Division One competition is in the Greenhills Bar, Cargan, while the second division tournament is in the Buffs CLub, Kells. Registration for both events is at 8.15pm.
