Tobermore was first to settle with both Peter Duffin and Ryan Winton causing plenty of concern to the visiting defence.

Trevor Parkhill went close with an early effort and ex Tobermore keeper Marty Farniok did well to stop Ally Young’s shot from close range.

At the other end Paul Wells dealt superbly with the few shots that the visitors got on target but it was the home side that were creating the chances.

However, a combination of good keeping by Farniok and poor finishing kept the game scoreless at half time.

The second half was along similar lines to the first with Tobermore creating chance after chance that went begging but that changed on 60 minutes when Young rose above the visitors defence to glance home a cross from fellow striker Parkhill.

Moyola rallied for a short while but Tobermore came back at them looking for a second to seal a deserved victory but again Farniok was at his best to keep his side in the game.

Then with just three minutes left on the clock disaster struck when Connor Kearns, who had a super game at center half keeping goal machine Chris Dowie very quiet, somehow headed past his own keeper when defending a free kick.

It was a real stroke of luck for the visitors as they really didn’t look like scoring but in football you lap up that sort of fortune and Tobermore will be hoping that some of it comes their way soon.

Overall it was a very enjoyable game that certainly entertained the large crowd although the result didn’t best please the home support who knew that they deserved a victory with the amount of chances created.
