RANGERS AT INSITUTE IN FIFTH ROUND IRISH CUP - Rathfriland Rangers this Saturday make the long awaited trip to Institute in the fifth round of the Irish Cup.

This is the first time in the club`s history that the team have got this far in the competition and they don`t come much tougher than this on a pitch two hours from home! Stute are flying in second place in Championship 1 under Paul Kee and will prove a tough test at this stage of the competition. This is a massive game in another cup completion with the Whites looking for the mother of all cup upsets at Drumahoe. This one has a later than usual kick off at 3pm.

COLTS AT HOME - This Saturday Rathfriland Colts are at home to Kirkistown in the first round of the Harry Clarke Cup. This is a great chance for Rathfriland to progress to the next round of the competition with the game having a 1.30pm kick off at Iveagh Park.

CLARENCE CUP DRAW - Rathfriland Rangers have been drawn away to none other than Border Cup final opponents Crumlin Star in the next round of the Clarence Cup on Sat 18th January.

WELCOME BACK - Nice to see Noel Graham back at the club on Saturday past after his recent illness. Noel is one of Rathfriland`s most loyal supporters and everyone was pleased to see him around Iveagh Park again on Saturday.

COMMITTEE MEETING - The January committee meeting will take place at the clubrooms next Tuesday 15th January at 7pm. Please note the new earlier start time.

SYMPATHY - Sympathy from Rathfrilland FC goes to the Gribben family on their recent bereavement.

SUPPORT FOR INSTITUTE - The club would encourage as much support as possible for Rangers away at Drumahoe against Championship 1 side Institute in their fifth round Irish Cup tie on Saturday. The game has a 3pm kick off.

CONGRATULATIONS! - Congratulations to Colts player Neil Graham and his partner on the birth of their first baby boy. Apparently Joshua has big hands and is sure to take after his father being a future `keeper in the making!

BEST WISHES EVO - Best wishes to Rathfriland Rangers player Ryan Evans who has been diagnosed with a fracture of his leg after the Border Cup Final. Evo will be out for 8 weeks and all at the club wish him well for a speedy recovery.

RATHFRILAND FC YOUTH WINTER TRAINING - There have been a couple of changes to the U`8s and U 11`s training schedules as listed below.

U 8`s – No training until February; U9 Monday 7-8pm; U10 Tuedsay 7-8pm; U11 Wednesday 6 - 7pm; U12 Wednesady 7-8pm; U13 Wednesday 7-8pm; U15 Tuesday 8-9pm

All new players will be welcome.
