In its fourth year, the event - organised by Ballymoney-based Scorpion ABC - has went from strength to strength since its inception.

Scorpion head coach Alan Martin (right) said this Friday's show promises to be a cracker for fight fans.

"It's a great venue and the show is usually full," Alan told Times Sport.

"It's in its fourth year now and it has always gone down very well.

"There is always a great family atmosphere and we are made very welcome by Sean McGinn and all the staff.

"We've held events throughout the area in recent years which are always very well supported but Ballintoy is special.

"There will be 15 bouts featuring top quality boxers so it promises to be a great night."

Scorpion’s precocious talents will go toe-to-toe with competitors from as far afield as Belfast, Londonderry, Letterkenny and Dungiven.

Among those representing the award-winning club is Kevin Donnelly.

The pint-sized dynamo has scooped numerous titles and is the reigning County, Ulster and Ireland champion and was recently named North Antrim Young Sportsman of the Year.

Another fight which is sure to whet the appetite is Sean O'Brien's tussle with Letterkenny’s Martin Stokes.

Dervock destroyer Lewis Horner will be hoping to send Eastside’s Chris Hoy on his bike while James ‘The Hitman’ McNaughton is aiming to be on song against X-Factor star Eoghan Quigg’s younger brother Dillon (St Canice’s).

The show gets under way from 7.30pm.

Tickets are available at the door and are priced just 5.
