The due worked together in recent seasons helping O’Hagan’s home club Coalisland Fianna secure the O’Neill Cup in 2011.

Donnelly and McHugh have already added Brian McGuigan and Ryan McMenamin to their backroom team.

It is beleived that a decision will be made before the end of the month.

Meanwhile, senior manager Mickey Harte has yet to announce who will replace Tony Donnelly in his backroom team.

His son Mark Marte last month denied that he was set to join his father on the touchline but rumour suggests that the pairing could be a real possibility in 2015.

The 2015 Tyrone minor management post remains open this morning following a decision taken at the county committee meeting last night. It had been thought that Mickey Donnelly and Kieran McHugh would be ratified as managers for the new season but they failed to garner enough votes from the county’s leading decision making body. Donnelly and McHugh were in charge of the Tyrone minor footballers since the beginning of the 2011 season. During their time in charge they won the Ulster league and championship in 2012.
