U16 camogs win opening game

A double rainbow at the atart of the match proved a good omen for Eoghan Rua Under 16 camogs as they began their league campaign away to Glack.

The girls produced a fine team effort and won by five goals and seven points to a goal. The first half saw the half forward line of Niamh Tosh, Shauna Doherty and Aoife Kelly take control and produce some outstanding moves, ably supported by a very strong midfield of Kayleigh Colgan and Aoife Bradley. The half ended with a goal and five points for Eoghan to no score for Glack. The second half saw a determined effort by Glack to make an impression on the game but a solid back line led by Shannon McWilliams were largely impenetrable, only conceding one late goal. At the other end the Eoghan Rua scored another four goals and two points to secure victory.
