Lurgan Pride: road closure traffic details plus full list of what's going on

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council advised motorists and road users that the street will be closed from 10am to 10pm.
The town’s first ever Lurgan Pride promises a day packed with festival fun and entertainment.

Hide Ad"Bring your colours, bring some noise and join Lurgan's first ever Pride Parade on Carnegie Street this Saturday,” said a spokesperson for the event organisers.
The first event of the day will be a discussion and book-reading from 11am to 12 noon in the Building Bridges Community Arts Theatre with Shirley-Anne McMillan.
"We are beyond delighted to have Shirley-Anne McMillan read from her books and chat about her LGBTQ+ themes and characters,” the Lurgan Pride spokesperson said.
At 11.30am there will be storytime and rainbow crafts in Lurgan Library, followed by the Pride event’s opening ceremony and Carnegie Street parade at 12.30pm.

Hide AdThe afternoon will see a variety of activities, including a crafter’s fair in Building Bridges Community Arts Theatre (1-3pm) and Pride information at a ‘stall village’ in Lurgan Library (1-3pm).
Fa Joe’s pub will be the venue for afternoon music, performance and poetry sessions from 1-4pm, while there will be educational LGBTQ+ talks at Building Bridges from 3-5pm. Drag Bingo is planned for 4-6pm with Missy Onya Becks in Fa Joe’s.
A glittering night of entertainment is lined up, with the Onya Becks Showgirl Extravaganza and DJ from 8pm in the Cellar Bar sold out. A Pride afterparty disco will be held in the Batcave Bar from 9pm and there will be live bands in Fa Joe’s (£5 entry) from 10pm.
