The Twelfth 2026 on TV: GB News live broadcast to include Dame Arlene Foster and Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson in Hillsborough

Former First Minister Dame Arlene Foster will be hosting special live coverage of the Twelfth celebrations for GB News from Royal Hillsborough on Monday

It will be the fifth year in a row that GB News will be on the ground across the country as thousands of people participate or spectate in the annual festival to mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne.

The channel will be in Royal Hillsborough for a full day of live programming, with coverage running across Breakfast, Britain's Newsroom and Good Afternoon Britain.

Presenting duties will once again fall to Dame Arlene Foster, alongside Coronation Street actor and commentator Charlie Lawson and GB News’ correspondent Dougie Beattie, who has fronted the channel's Twelfth coverage over each of the last years.

He said: "Once again GB News will be bringing viewers the very best coverage.

"Moving the parades to the Monday hasn't dimmed the enthusiasm one bit - if anything, there's a real sense of anticipation building for what promises to be one of the most series of parades in years."

GB News says its presence at Royal Hillsborough builds on several years of dedicated coverage of the parades, “cementing its position as the channel viewers turn to for authentic, on-the-ground reporting” of the Twelfth celebrations.

The BBC said the programme will also provide an insight into the Orange tradition and its role in cultural and community life, with features about a newly-formed flute band in Co Armagh, and kiltmakers in Belfast who have been making kilts for many of the drum majors taking part in the annual Twelfth parades.

‘The Twelfth 2026’ will be presented by Helen Mark, with commentary from Dr David Hume and Eve Blair.

UTV’s round-up of the Twelfth will be aired at 10.45pm on Monday, July 13.
