Bushmills is second most popular distillery in Ireland with overseas visitors
Bushmills Distillery was the second most popular distillery on the island of Ireland with visitors from overseas last year, new figures have shown.
Whiskey distilleries in Ireland attracted 1,040,159 visitors between June 2025 and June 2026, as spending rose, according to The Spirits Business publication.

New figures from the Dublin-based Irish Whiskey Association (IWA) show visitor numbers were up by 30,000 from the previous 12-month period. It also marks the second consecutive year tourist numbers at Irish distilleries have passed one million, after exceeding the mark for the first time since 2019.
IWA director Eoin O’Cathain said that “reaching one million visitors for the second year in a row shows that Irish whiskey tourism has real staying power, and that is down to the innovation and resilience of our distilleries and visitor centres”.
The Jameson Distillery on Bow Street in Dublin was the most popular Irish whiskey experience in the 12 months to June 2026.
