Carrickfergus Health Centre sprayed with crude and anti-police graffiti
Staff are said to have been left distressed after an overnight criminal damage incident at Carrickfergus Health Centre.
Walls and windows of the Taylor’s Avenue premises - where two GP practices are based - were daubed with graffiti, which included crude images and anti-police sentiment.
Mid and East Antrim Alderman Noel Williams, who has raised the attack with the Northern Health Trust, said it was particularly concerning in the light of the current health pandemic.
The Alliance representative said: “We are appalled and staff are distressed. Old people are going to have to go past this to get their vaccines.

“It is on the walls and windows of the health centre. We have taken it up with the Trust and I understand they are going to have it removed.
“People need to catch themselves on. This tagging around the town needs resolved.”
The latter was also a reference to a Brexit fallout related graffiti spree around the east Antrim town earlier this week with police linking six reports at various locations, including opposite the entrance to the health centre. Click here
Police and the Northern Health Trust have been asked for a response.
