Dalriada Festival set to close in spectacular fashion

THE week-long festivities at the P&O Ferries Dalriada Festival are set to come to a close this Saturday with a final night of entertainment in the historic village of Glenarm.

A spectacular fireworks display will top off an action-packed week and visitors will be treated to live music from Freefall, a vintage car rally and the annual fancy dress parade which sees young and old parade through the village.

Glenarm Marina will also play host to a rowing regatta which will see Scotland go head to head with Irish competitors from 12 noon.

The rowing regatta is being organised by the Dalriada Festival rowing committee. It will be a full day regatta taking place on July 21, with traditional rowing boats creating a wonderful spectacle in Glenarm Bay.

For the less adventurous the Walled Garden will play host to a Teddy Bears’ Picnic with face painting, magic shows and much more in association with Build-A-Bear from 12.30pm
