Tiny footprints and easter treats bring smiles to families in Ulster Hospital neonatal unit

Staff in the Neonatal Unit at the Ulster Hospital brought a touch of Easter magic to families over the holiday weekend, surprising parents with thoughtful gifts to brighten their time in the Unit.

Each parent received art and craft materials along with a beautifully designed card featuring their baby’s footprint, creating a special keepsake to treasure. Siblings were also included in the celebrations, receiving an Easter egg and a fun activity book.

Staff organised an Easter Egg Hunt and set up a craft table, helping families come together and enjoy some light-hearted moments.

South Eastern Trust, Neonatal Unit Manager, Katrina Wilson said: “We know that having a baby in the Neonatal Unit can be an emotional and difficult time for families, especially during special occasions like Easter.

“As a Team, we wanted to do something small to lift spirits and create some happy memories.

"It was lovely to see parents and siblings enjoying the activities together and celebrating their little ones.”
