Autotesting time for Larne Motor Club

Larne Motor Club is set for an action-packed first week in August with two Autotests taking place in the space of just four days.

The first event on Saturday August 1 will see the club host their round of the Aughrim Filling Station Northern Ireland Autotest Championship at Millbrook, with only three rounds left to go in the competition.

The event, supported by Alan Dorman & Son Hardware, will see the best autotest drivers from across Northern Ireland and Ireland gather to display their car control skills to take one more step towards the title.

Ballyclare man Paul Blair will enter the round leading the way, with Ashley Lamont, Robin Lyons and four times champion Steven Ferguson right on his bumper.

The competition is sure to be close between the contenders.

The race will start at 12pm and a winner will be decided by mid afternoon.

On Tuesday August 4, Larne Motor Club will return to Circular Road East, which will host the SKC Gaming Clubman Autotest.

The event is designed to bring new faces into the sport and to afford them the chance to give autotesting a spin.

There will be the opportunity to pick the brain of experienced Northern Ireland competitors, who come along for a stress-free night away from the championship.

Anyone who wishes to try autotesting is invited to come along for a great night of motorsport. Or to see what’s involved, why not come along and join Larne Motor Club.

The Circular Road East carpark will be closed for the event from 6.30pm.
