Complaints leaflet

TO mark National Complaints Day - last Friday - the Consumer Council has urged energy, water and transport consumers in the Ballymoney and Moyle areas to pick up a copy of its complaints leaflet, by calling 0800 121 6022 or downloading it at www.consumercouncil.org.uk.

The Consumer Council’s Head of Consumer Support, Loretta O’Hara explained:

“The Consumer Council handles complaints about utilities and transport. This means when consumers have a complaint about buses, trains, planes, ferries, natural gas, electricity, coal and water, and haven’t had a satisfactory outcome with the company or service provider, the Consumer Council can act on their behalf.

“In the last year the Consumer Council has helped over 4,000 people with a complaint about energy, water or transport. As a result we have put over 130,000 back into consumers’ pockets and helped bring about some important customer service improvements”.

More people have been encouraged to take the time to make a complaint; not only can they get a resolution for themselves, they can also help bring about permanent changes which will benefit other customers.”
