North Antrim motorist caught drink driving for third time is given a jail warning
A north Antrim motorist caught drink driving for a third time has been warned he could be jailed.
The 41-year-old was detected in the Larne Road Roundabout area of Ballymena on September 22 this year.
At Ballymena Magistrates' Court, Deputy District Judge Mark Hamill said the defendant – Christopher Daniel Booth, from the Ballymoney area – had two previous drink driving convictions.
"Third drink driving you are staring at a prison sentence. He has put himself in extreme danger of going to prison for quite some time," said the judge.
An interim driving ban was put in place and the case was adjourned to November 5 for a pre-sentence report.
