Limavady shoplifter wore 'surgical mask' during crimewave
A man with 300 previous convictions has made admissions to shoplifting goods worth over £800.
The 39-year-old is charged with stealing alcohol and beauty products from Dungiven and Limavady shops between October 30 and November 3.
Paul Ireland, of Anderson Crescent in Limavady, is also charged with perverting the course of justice by instructing a person to 'dispose of stolen property'.
Objecting to bail, a police officer said during an incident on October 31 a male "had his face partially covered with a surgical face mask".

Whilst in custody the defendant phoned his mother indicating where the stolen items were "stashed”. Police were able to recover six bottles of whiskey worth £141.
The officer said Ireland admitted to police he committed all the thefts to sell on. Regarding the call to his mum he said he was going to get her to return the items.
District Judge Nigel Broderick refused bail. The case was adjourned to Limavady Magistrates Court, sitting in Coleraine, on December 2.
